A quick interview for you today with author, Michelle Ventura. She has published her first book in June, another in July, and her next release is September 1st. She is on a roll and is sitting down with me today to talk author stuff. So lets get started.

Gina: What is your favorite thing about being an Author?
Michelle: Creating stories that bring out emotions in the reader.
Gina: What genre of books are you inspired most to write about?
Michelle: Romance, Romantic Suspense, Erotica
Gina: Do you plot you’re books or let them lead you?
Michelle: My books typically lead me.
Gina: What is something you do when writing that keeps you going?
Michelle: I listen to Baroque or soft Jazz when I write. It calms me and keeps me on a roll.
Gina: What is your inspiration for the current book or series you are writing?
Michelle: Lake Tahoe inspires most of my stories.
Gina: Have you had any trial or errors that has cost you in becoming an author?
Michelle: years ago, I finished two books and then never pursued publishing them. Life got in the way. I recently published one of those books; it was a great feeling.
Gina: What would you say to someone who wants to become a writer?
Michelle: Go for it, and don’t get discouraged. Some days the characters are brats and don’t want to play with you.
Gina: Do you have another author who has given you advice or encouragement?
Michelle: I am lucky to have a group of fabulous women who share ideas and shoulders when needed.
Gina: What goals have you set for yourself for the next year?
Michelle: The third book in my dare series and two books for a collaborative series with the above-mentioned woman!
Gina: What do you want readers to see or feel most when it comes to your stories?
Michelle: Emotion
Gina: Is there any juicy tidbits you can give us about your next book release?
Michelle: Playing With Fire is a fun, sexy read.
Gina: What would you like to say to your readers and anyone interested in reading your books?
Michelle: Thank you for letting me and my characters into your hearts and imaginations!
With your newest release, what is something you learned from writing it?
Michelle: Sometimes, even when the story doesn’t seem to want to move, keep pushing forward.
